Presentation Guides
To ensure all sessions run smoothly during the congress, we request cooperation from both oral and poster presenters and ask that the following rules be adhered to.
Oral Presentations
- The duration of each presentation is 15 minutes including discussion.
- We suggest 10 minutes for the presentation, 3 minutes for discussion and 2 minutes for the introduction of the speaker, changing time and starting the presentation between speakers.
- A projector and a computer with MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Reader will be available in every session room for regular presentations.
Preparation of Visuals
- PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BRING THE PRESENTATION ON A USB MEMORY STICK IN ORDER TO TRANSFER IT TO THE COMPUTER IN THE PRESENTATION ROOM.
- Files must be uploaded to the computers in the lecture rooms in the morning before the sessions or during the breaks between two sessions.
- To avoid software compatibility problems, speakers are advised to put .ppt, .pptx and .pdf versions of their presentation on the USB stick.
- If your presentation includes videos or animations, ensure they are embedded in the presentation file and also bring the original video files. Supported video formats are .mp4, .avi, and .mov. Prepare an additional "simplified" version as a backup.
- Speakers should arrive in their session room 10 minutes BEFORE the start of their session to report to the Session Chair.
Poster Presentations
- The recommended format is A0 portrait: ca. 841 mm x 1190 mm.
- The poster title, author(s)' names, and affiliations should be placed at the top of the poster. Please underline the name of the presenter in the author listing.
- Please bring your poster with you and ensure it is put up before the start of the session at 07:30 a.m. Unfortunately, we cannot print the poster for you.
- Your posters will be attached to the panel with double-sided tape, which will be available at the registration desk.
- Poster presenters are responsible for mounting and removing their posters themselves.
- The posters will be presented on one full day.
- Please remove your poster at the end of the day after the sessions.
- Posters cannot be disposed of on-site and must be taken with you.
Templates
You may use your own template for the oral or poster presentation. If you need a template, feel free to use one of the below.
