Quantum Metrology for Quantum Technology and Quantum Technology for Quantum Metrology

TC25 organizes a workshop to highlight the various activities of NMIs in the field of Quantum Technologies. The workshop provides pitches, presentations, and, in parallel, a small exhibition. As an opener, short pitches from NMIs allow for an overview about their activities. Further pitches will be presented by quantum projects and industry partners. In-depth presentations will highlight the activities of the metrology community in the quantum era with a focus on current opportunities and challenges. Furthermore, the NMI-Q initiative will be presented and discussed (https://www.bipm.org/en/bipm-workshops/quantum-tech). The accompanying quantum exhibition features impressions from NMIs, projects and industry, including demonstrators and hands-on experiences. It will also be connected to the QT ecosystem of the city of Hamburg. The official quantum technology initiative of the City of Hamburg, the hqic, will provide an insight into local QT activities. From research and start-ups to industry and applications. Moreover, Hamburg-based QT players will be presenting their activities in the context of quantum computing and quantum metrology: The DLR Quantum Computing Initiative, Noisy Labs and Schäfter+Kirchhoff.
